Golf is harder when you lack confidence. Hell, everything in life is harder when you lack confidence. Remember the first time you asked a girl on a date?
Terrifying.
If she said yes, your confidence took a boost and you felt great.
If she said “NO!”, it took a big nosedive… and I can bet that you analyzed your approach and took advice from others who had asked girls out before. You adapted and learned from someone more experienced. In the end, your confidence grew.
The same is true for golf… knowing what to do and when to do it on and off the course builds confidence.
You must start believing in yourself. End self doubt.
Drop the “I’ll give this a try” mindset.
Switch to an “I’m going to succeed” belief.
Change your mindset, change your game for the better. NOW is the time, you CAN do it.
Having a Road Map is Crucial to Building Confidence.
At Golf Aggressive, we have three main principles…
- Mind
- Body
- Fitness
For each component, you need a road map… A road map that shows you where your destination is… how long it will take, and what steps to take and when to take them.
Road maps are unique to each golfer. However, the basic principles of mind, body, and fitness are the same. Each component shaves a stroke here, adds distance there, and most importantly boosts confidence.
I believe in you. I know you are up to the challenge.
You will face hurdles and obstacles. You will find a way.
Results come after work.
Once the foundation is laid, we need to execute the game plan.
This will take hard work. This will take dedication. This will take consistency.
6 Rules to Lowering Your Score.
Our 6 rules come from a legend in the bodybuilding world… this man used these rules to dominate bodybuilding, business, movie industry, and even politics!
This man faced seemingly impossible obstacles…
He was laughed at and mocked by his peers and elders. Worse yet, he really had no time to train… his name?
Arnold Schwarzenegger.
But he had one thing that made him different than everyone else…. a clear and decisive road map!
So what are the 6 rules that you can apply to lower your golf score?
… or excelling at anything for that matter.
1. Believe in yourself
You can achieve that lower score or tour pro physique you’ve always dreamed of. Change your mindset.
2. Break the rules, not the law
Fitness was frowned upon in golf only until the last few years…. it will wreck your swing! You will lose your touch… and all bullshit!
Gary Player was told he was crazy and a fitness nut.
However, Mr. Fitness stood only 5’6″ tall and won 165 tournaments… 165!
So you tell me… will fitness ruin your swing… or turn you into a pint sized bully on the course?
9 Major’s….
Gary would have to agree that without fitness, he would not be even close to 165 wins.
3. Don’t be afraid to fail
When you aren’t afraid of failing, you relieve yourself of pressure. Pressure is no good in golf. Who cares if you fail with a new modification to your swing… Tiger Woods doesn’t care.
4. Avoid the naysayers
Naysayers will tell you all the ways you can fail. They will always bring negative vibes… don’t let them project their own self doubt upon you..
5. Work like hell
Results follow work. Do the tasks at hand. Check them off every day.
Muhammad Ali only counted reps when they started to hurt… he said those were the only ones that counted.
6. Give something back
Great joy comes from helping others. With your success, be sure to give back to those who need it. Encouragement, advice, an old set of clubs, whatever you can do.
