Aggressive… or passive? That’s how I differentiate golf instructors.
Some instructors are very passive and give you tip after swing tip. You work on your swing every week and keep tweaking and transforming your swing. However, you never seem to get better. Other instructors are much more aggressive in their style, and attack fixing your game more aggressively.
I’ll be the first to tell you… it’s next to impossible to break 80 using the passive approach. I should know, I studied Nick Faldo’s swing and broke it down to the tiniest degree. I copied and practiced and forged that swing into my own version. However, I was ignoring the most efficient way to break 80.
Yep… I was ignoring How to Play the Game.
By playing the game, you reveal your weak points. When the weak spots are revealed, you can then design a plan to fix them. This is MUCH MORE AGGRESSIVE when looking to break through a barrier… it is also the FASTEST WAY to breaking through any golf scoring barrier.
History reveals many top PGA Tour golfers with less than perfect swings… but what did they posses to make them so good? They were all gamers.
Breaking through the 80 barrier is the last great frontier for most golfers. It’s a day we look forward to when we first set out to play this game.
However, the reality is that breaking any barrier in golf can be difficult IF YOU GO ABOUT IT THE WRONG WAY. Look, golf is being made too difficult by all the guru’s out there… and I’ll probably take a lot of heat about that statement. It’s true though… watch any golf instructor today and they are treating every golfer like they have Tiger Wood’s time, money, and skillset.
The #TRUTH is that you don’t need Tiger’s money, time, or skills to break 80.
NOPE.
What you need to break 80 is a VERY basic formula.
In fact, you can use this same exact formula to break 80, 90, or 100. We give this formula to our better golfers though because it’s about nitpicking your game and finding the LOWEST HANGING FRUIT… and I think this is where the guru’s are steering people wrong.
So give this formula a try and let us know your results. I think you will be pleased that you did…
The formula is very simple, and it’s revealed in today’s podcast… I suggest you watch the video version because there is a Kangaroo attack in the first few minutes. Rich and I were playing and he hit his ball close to the water’s edge. Apparently, Kangaroo’s get very territorial.
