Today is Superbowl Sunday, an un-official holiday here in the United States.
Below, I’ve created a pretty fun Superbowl Workout Game you can do while watching. If you have a big group of people, this one is going to get comical once everyone has a few brews in them.
The Superbowl is an excuse for family, friends, and dogs to get together. My chihuahua Carl is super excited as he has been a Niners fan for years. He is afraid of birds… seahawks, falcons, cardinals, ravens, you get the point…
…and of course, everyone likes the commercials… the halftime show… and the FOOD and BEER.
In fact, here’s one of my favorite beers..
The Celebrator has this white plastic Ram with a red string that holds it around the bottle. As you drink, you take them off so you know how many you had.
Here’s a bit more about it if you are interested: http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/39/131
So I know you’re gonna have beer, chips, wings, nacho’s, burgers, and who knows what else…
…and that’s perfectly fine, you should be able to let loose once in awhile.
In fact, if you’ve been doing Shed Pounds to Shave Strokes, you are well on your way to the new golf body you have been wanting.
Without further delay, here is the Superbowl Workout Game:
When you See this… Do this.
Touchdown ==> 6 Jumping jacks
Field goal ==> 3 Pushups
First down ==> 10 bodyweight squats
Extra point ==> 3 burpees (we might need to rename these after the game)
Personal foul ==> 10 walking lunges
Onside kick ==> 50 jumps
Timeout ==> 10 squats
Fumble ==> 20 jumping jacks
Interception ==> 10 burpees
Offsides ==> 30 second run in place
Beer commercial ==> 10 push ups
Aging rock star ==> chicken dance
Sack ==> 60-second plank
Wardrobe malfunction ==> take a drink of beer (unless you are an alcoholic or underage, then you drink Gatorade)
So print this out and take to your Superbowl party, I guarantee a lot of fun to follow…
Stay Strong,
Christian Henning, NASM-CPT
