  • What’s Your #1 Scoring Leak?
Home Why you need systems to lower your score Try this balance drill at the range…

Try this balance drill at the range…

Ever see that guy on the range swinging for the fences like he’s at Wrigley Field?

You know the one.. the guy who falls over sideways… takes a few steps…

… or has to correct his balance with a weird wiggle so he doesn’t fall on his face.

Fortunately for you, I’ve been that guy.

Man, I didn’t know I looked like such a jack ass!

You think Brett Favre threw the ball hard.. You should have seen my golf swing.

Now I know how to fix it. Easily.

Today, my swing feels like a warm knife cutting through butter.

Yours can too.

I was at the end of my rope.. so I sought professional help.

Brent, “The Golf Whisperer” Cryer took me under his wing and taught me one drill that changed
my game forever.

Brent is no Drill Sergeant, and this drill is pretty easy.

He told me that after a break, or coming back to the game after a long time off you have the tendency to force things.

Swinging harder than you need to be.

He went on to tell me you can’t possibly let the golf swing unfold as it should when you rush it.

Your swing becomes out of sequence and throws you off balance.

It shouldn’t be this way.

When you finish the swing, you should be relaxed and in perfect balance.

Here’s a tip from a PGA teaching pro (The Golf Whisperer) you need to implement before you hit any full shots on the range:

[ ———– FEET TOGETHER DRILL ———–  ]

Grab a 7-iron and place your feet together. Swing at a
smooth tempo and rhythm.

If you swing too hard here, you will definitely fall on your face!

Hit 20 balls in a row until you get the feeling.

Remember this feeling.. imagine in your mind how it
feels when you hit a perfect shot.

Re-create this SAME EXACT tempo and rhythm
with your full golf swing.

If you don’t achieve the same result, back off and go
back to the drill.

This is all about teaching your brain how it “feels” to
swing in good tempo.

I recommend going a step further once you have
mastered this drill with your low irons.. Start moving
up iron by iron until you can actually hit your driver.

Once you work your way up, you will see a MASSIVE
improvement in your scoring.

P.S. Leave a comment below if this drill works for you!

Remember, the golf swing has a specific sequence that it MUST unfold at. Rush things, and this sequence is screwed.

Swing too fast and we will never apply the power we develop with our golf fitness workouts.

P.S. Tomorrow I’ll give you a balance superset that you
can add to your CURRENT workouts. Some gym
time is required, but it will be worth it!

With this workout, we can finally apply all our power
to our swing… but only if we are in total balance. I
urge you to master the feet together drill.
