As we age, we are told that a decline in testosterone is normal. The decline starts in our early 30’s… and we start losing about 1% every year thereafter – if we don’t take action (I’ll cover more of how to do that below).
However, some guys experience a bigger dip than others in this area. We’ve all heard the TV commercials pimping Viagra and patches and other things… and while they may help the issue – they DO NOT address the underlying problems.
As men, testosterone is our lifeblood for health, virility, and massive bombs down the middle of the fairway… if we are lacking in the T department – we are shorting our physical performance on the golf course.
Now, most of our readers out there are age 30 and above… and this article is one of the most important I’ve put out. I can’t tell you how many golfers suffer from low-T and a lack of exercise… causing all sorts of issues.
I know! I used to suffer from every single thing below… but about 10 years ago I had enough and decided to make a change. I feel much better now, and it has been change for the better.
My hope today is to give you a battle-plan on combating low T (if you have it) and preventing low T if you have good testosterone levels now.
The causes are many, and in our fast-paced society – you may be experiencing a few of the following causes…
- Stress
- Lack of Sleep
- Not Lifting Heavy Stuff
- Eating Crappy Foods
- Lack of Sex
.
All of the above items will cause havoc on your body’s ability to create testosterone. And just because we are getting older doesn’t mean we have to suffer from Low T… we don’t have to accept this.
We know what can cause Low T, what are the warning signs? It’s important to know what to look for.
The Warning Signs of Low T
- Low Sex Drive – Difficulty Achieving Erection
- Fatigue and Lack of Energy
- Loss of Muscle Mass
- Increase in Body Fat
- Decrease in Bone Density
- Mood Swings – you are becoming an over-emotional moody bitch
- Changes in Sleep Patterns
.
Obviously, the best way to be for sure is to hit your Doctor and get tested. However, if you do come back with low T results, they are probably going to want to ‘fix’ you through pills, potions, or cremes. To be honest, you should AVOID this at first… and here’s why:
You want to fix the ROOT of the problem. It may sound difficult, but it really isn’t. You just have to get moving and take control.
And there is such a thing as too high testosterone… according to recent studies like the following:
Researchers measured the testosterone levels of nearly 3,700 Australian men, aged 70 to 89, between 2001 and 2004. They then checked to see how many were still alive in December 2010. Those with the lowest testosterone levels had the highest death rate, followed by those with the highest levels.
Men with mid-range levels of testosterone had the highest survival rate, according to the study, which was published recently in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism, Nov. 20, 2013.
So… we don’t want to blow our Testosterone through the roof and we don’t want it too low… we want it right in the middle.
